The Lady Bulldogs always shared this special message before the game
Claiborne High School Softball Coach Justin Cox released a statement about individual awards for several Lady Bulldogs players.
“Well, sadly, our season has come to a close.
We were able to do what no other softball team in school history had ever done. We got a bid in the regional tournament. This means we were one of the “best” 32 Class AA teams in the state!
During the season and the district tournament we had some ladies get some individual recognition. While we’ve known the All-District teams for a few weeks now, the other coaches and I chose to keep it to ourselves until the end of the season. Without further ado the District 2 AA “All-District” representatives from Claiborne are: First Team Emma Myatt Gretchen Jones & Lillie Cox. Second Team selections were Hannah Fugate & Madison Lynch
From 5/7 – 5/15 the ladies competed and placed second in the District 2AA Tournament and garnered four All-Tournament selections: Emma Myatt, Gretchen Jones, Hannah Fugate & Lillie Cox.”
