Nathan Medlin has signed all the paperwork and has been named interim girls basketball coach at Claiborne High School.
The fan base was shocked last week to hear that Ariel Nickell had stated she was not returning. Rumors immediately began that Medlin had agreed to fill in this upcoming season and today Claiborne AD Craig Ivey said all the paperwork was complete and he could officially name Medlin as the new coach.
When The Zone asked Medlin about the matter he responded, “I really care alot about our kids here, and it didnt seem right that they were without a coach the week school was getting ready to start. I want to do the best I can for them.”
Medlin is no stranger to the position as he served as coach for the Lady Bulldogs when he first arrived at the high school.
