SMMS visits Springdale
Springdale Elementary School defeated Soldier’s Memorial Middle School in JV action, October 25. Will Compton led the Owls in scoring with 10 points as the Springdale team took the 22-11 win. SMMS was led by B. Ford with six. The Owls led 16-3 at the half. Robby Wilmoth and Blake Gilbert both had four points. Xavier Nickel and Brantley Burke both added two points to the total. For SMMS Eric Ferguson and Brayden Grimm scored two points each and Mason Helton added a single point.
In varsity action, Springdale took a 37-15 victory. The Owls led at the half by a football score 21-7 and went on to victory. Owen Medlin led the Owls with 12 points. Chace Robinette had 10, Drew Epperson had seven, Corbin Whitaker had four as did Owen Stone. SMMS was led by Eric Ferguson with four, Aiden Roark had three and four others each scored two points including Chris Ford, Mason Helton, Kayden Lovin and Aiden Martin.
