The number one seeded Cumberland Gap Panthers defeated Coalfield in the semi-final round of the playoffs, October 23 by the final score of 7-0. With the win the team moves on to the championship game next Saturday against NAGAF.
The only score of the game was made by Sam Garside and he also added the extra point conversion.
Coach Bart Short said this about the game, “Our defense held strong on about the 10 yard line; stopped them on a fourth and five. Then on offense we converted a fourth and five and ran the clock out.”
