Before the district champions were crowned, two consolation games were played.
The girl’s consolation was first, and the Lady Pirates were down by three at the half, 11-8 but came back in the second half to win 28-17. Hannah Williams led Washburn with 12 points. Abigail Epperson had nine, Ebony Hill had four, Taylie Proffitt had two and Leah Collins finished with one point. Zoe Pyne led Hancock with seven, Cayln Seal had four as did Payton Lawson and Starlyn Gibson finished the total with two points.
During the boy’s game, Forge Ridge led Powell Valley at the half, 20-19 and finished the game with a 44-33 victory over the Indians. Colton Jones led the Dragons with 16, Gabriel Daniels and Cole Adams both scored 10, Austin Michael had seven and Gavin Barton had one point. The Indians were led by Kolton Goins who led all scorers with 20 points. Brayden Boyd had six, Colby Weaver had five and Braden Lane had two points.
