Cumberland Gap traveled to Alcoa, February 8. The Lady Panthers played strong and gave Alcoa all they could handle but an eight-point lead at the half gave Alcoa the cushion needed for the win at 62-51. Kylie Fultz scored 16 to lead the Lady Panthers, Emrey Glover had 13, Abbie Fultz had 10 but left the game with an injured ankle. Jaden Brock had seven, Brynlee Foster and Hayden Beeler had two each and Gracie Nash recorded one point. Lauren Martin led Alcoa with 15, Maci Ridge and Karli Haworth both had 14.
During the boy’s game it was all Alcoa. They led at the half 54-20 and went on to win, 84-25. Leading the Gap in scoring was Kaleb Powers with six, four others had four including Lance Owens, Trace Provins, Alex Douglas and Ethan Powell. Gavin Owens had two and Andy Osborne scored one point. Alcoa was led by John Carter with 20, Terrence Dorsey had 14 and Eli Graff scored 14.
