The Claiborne High School Lady Bulldogs traveled to Grainger to battle the Lady Grizzlies, April 15. Due to injury and players missing from the team, Claiborne had little left on the bench but still gave the Grainger team a scare. Grainger had six runs on the board by the end of the fourth but the Lady Bulldogs tried to rally including a home run by Hannah Fugate in the fifth. Claiborne scored two runs in the fifth inning but couldn’t manufacture any more runs.
For her efforts, Fugate was named Walker and Walker Construction Player of the Game. Congratulations Hannah!
