The 2022 Claiborne County Fair will begin August 29 and run through September 3. Gates are scheduled to open at 5:00 p.m. and the admission price is $15 including unlimited rides. Exhibits will be received in the evening of August 28 and during the morning hours August 29. Something new this year is a competition for homemade knives. There will be a photo competition and of course crafts, produce, canning, baking and more.
August 29 will feature the Senior Citizens Night, gospel and bluegrass by Straight Off The Ridge Boys. August 30 features the Fairest of the Fair Pageant and the lawnmower pull. August 31 will feature the ATV/UTV drag racing. The fair heats up September 1 with the fan favorite demolition derby including the kids power wheel derby. September 2 and 3 also belongs to motorsports as the tractor pulls begin with the antique and modified Friday and fast tractors and trucks Saturday. The midway will be open each night. 4-H will be busy during the week at the livestock barn with a poultry show and sale, sheep show and beef show.
There’s lots to do and of course they will have awesome fair food in the main fair barn and vendors on the hill. Also don’t forget about the polish sausages made fresh nightly. The Claiborne County Fair Association invites everyone out to the 2022 fair.
Proceeds from the fair helps to fund the annual Christmas food basket program, improvements to the grounds and more.
