While all eyes were focused on the school board meeting in the multipurpose room September 8, the Lady Bulldogs were on the pitch earning one of their biggest wins this season. Claiborne defeated Grainger 4-2. Haley LeBert had a hat trick (3 goals) and Emma Hoskins kicked in the other goal. Assists were made by Taylor Pressnell, Allie Jones, Riley Kiefer and Tiara Warwick. Abby Yeary was in net and had four saves. With the win the Lady Bulldogs’ record improved to 5-1-1. It was Claiborne’s fourth program win over the Lady Grizzlies.
Haley LeBert was the First Century Bank Player of the Game with a special nod to Jones, Pressnell, Kiefer and Warwick. Congratulations Haley!
