After the shocking announcement that Nathan Medlin had been relieved of his coaching duties by Claiborne High School, Nick Nash was named the new head coach. Nash had been an assistant under Medlin and was admired by the players for his knowledge of the game.
The Zone reached out to Nash and talked about how the team has responded to this shake up and he said this, “I think the players will be fine, they realize that we must go on and that we have a job to do. I think they are looking forward to a good season.”
Nash added, “I know they are hurt and confused, and it had to come as a shock to them, but they seem to be focused and ready to play tonight.”
The Bulldogs travel to West Greene for a rare Thursday night game. According to Nash the staff will remain the same and there were no plans to hire any more assistants.
