The Bulldogs began their second drive on their own 30-yard line. Gerrells made a nice run for a first down after a penalty and later tried a slant that was incomplete. The scoring slowed in the third quarter and the Claiborne defense was still playing hard and recovered a fumble. The Bulldogs had a shot from the red zone but once again Claiborne gave the ball right back to the Knights as the third quarter was coming to a close at 55-0.
During the final quarter, the Knights were playing their reserves and were still slowly moving the ball down the field, but the drive ended on a great defensive play by the Bulldogs. Isaac Daniels came in under center for Claiborne and handed the ball to Kaden Lovin. After a run play Claiborne was faced with a third down. Daniels and Roark were unable to make the connection on an option play and the drive ended with a slip and fall in the backfield.
Time ran out and the game ended with the Black Knights completing the shutout 55-0. Claiborne will return home and battle the Grainger Grizzlies, October 21.
