Claiborne versus Cherokee

The Claiborne Bulldogs basketball team played Cherokee, December 9, and played to a 31-17 first half with the Chiefs going on to win 65-44. During the opening period Claiborne scored 12 but gave up 15. A 16-5 second period deficit started the Bulldogs’ downfall. They tried to rally in the third scoring 15 but Cherokee scored 18. Cherokee outscored Claiborne by four points during the final period to seal the victory. Ethan Cupp and Tyler Myatt were the only two Bulldogs scoring in double-figures. Ethan Cupp had 12 and Tyler Myatt had 10. Brennan Fugate had seven and Cole Holt had five. Evan Thomas had four and three others recorded two points each including Vince Bolden, Jake Smith and Ethan Short. Colten Mclain scored 25 for the Chiefs and E. Jones scored 12.

The Danny England Motors Players of the Game were Ethan Cupp and Tyler Myatt. Congratulations Ethan and Tyler!
