Lincoln Memorial University hosted the 2022 Middle School Holiday Showcase, December 20, at the Tex Turner arena. The first game of the showcase featured H.Y Livesay boys versus Bell.
Livesay was down 6-0 but came back to lead Bell County early in the first of two halves due to some good shooting and battling under the rim for rebounds. Bell responded and took the lead before the Eagles tied the game at 22; however, at the end of the opening half, Bell led 27-25.
During the second half, Livesay couldn’t keep up the scoring pace of Bell and with four minutes left, were down 46-37.
At the final buzzer, the Eagles had shown some good play at times but found themselves on the wrong side of a 52-39 final score. Brady Harris led the Eagles in scoring with 14 points. Kole Carter had nine. Neil Bunch scored seven, Jacob Tinnel had three and Koalton Cupp along with Preston Zachery both had two points. Buell led Bell with 21 and Thomas had 19.
