Several karting drivers left the cold of Tennessee and competed at the flat track at Daytona International Speedway sanctioned by the World Karting Association.
Allen Ramsey, Kyle Bailey, Richard Bailey and Ayden Weaver all made the trip for three days of racing on the flat track at Daytona Speedway.
Including these four, there were over 945 entries competing in what was billed as the largest kart race in the world.
Ayden, the youngest of the four drivers at 10 years, started on the pole in his Hammer Factory Kart during the second night of racing, but unfortunately, a bad tire choice pushed him back in the pack at the checkered flag. Ayden attends Soldier’s Memorial Middle School and plays basketball with the Blue Devils.
Ramsey made his feature and finished in the 18 spot. Bailey and son had best finishes of 22 and 32 respectively.
Race fans around the area continue to watch the progress Weaver is having from year to year and he just keeps improving.
