March 18- Claiborne met Carter on the diamond at Claiborne High School and won 5-1.
The Bulldogs offense got on track early and put three runs on the board during the first inning, responding to Carter’s solo run. Claiborne added one run during both the fourth and sixth innings, and neither team would score again.
The 5-1 home victory was highlighted by a multiple hit effort front Ty Pryse with two hits. Tyler Myatt pitched 6.1 innings, striking out six, giving up only one run with seven base on balls.
For his efforts at the plate, Pryse is The Sports Center Player of the Game.
