November 27- Cumberland Gap hosted Washburn and it was a clean sweep for all three teams tonight.
The Lady Panthers won 49-35. Emrey Glover led Cumberland Gap with 17, Callie Hoskins had nine, Hayden Beeler had eight, Brynlee Foster had six, Gracie Nash had five, Jenna Beth Wilburn had two as did Jenna Middleton. Washburn was led by Ebany Hill and Saylor Clay with 10, Hannah Williams had five, Megan Beeler and Taylie Profitt both had three, and Callie Nicely along with Abigail Epperson had two points.
The Heartland Real Estate Player of the Game was Glover who in addition to her 17 points had six steals and four assists.
The Panthers won their third game in a row by taking down the Pirates 64-38. Matt Horton has changed the mindset, and his players are responding with confidence. Kolton Goins had 18 points while Brady Harris had 17, Colton Jones scored in double-figures with 13. Ethan Powell had six, and five others dropped in two points each including Noah Yonts, Eli Reed, Jacob Surber, Cole Adams and Gavin Barton. Matt Harville led Washburn with 18. Justin Bailey had 10, Zak Miniard had five, Storm Carpenter had three and Billy Wolfenbarger had two.
The Claiborne Health and Wellness Player of the Game was Kolton Goins.
67-21 was the final of the JV boys’ game with Cody Weaver dropping in 19. Gavin Barton had 18. Eli Reed had 11 as did Grayson Cook. Cole Adams had six and Gavin Surber had two. Dillon Mullins and Justin Bailey led Washburn with seven and Dacyn Cornett had two.
