December 5- Claiborne varsity girls fell to the Lady Green Devils by the final score of 74-38. Greeneville led at the half 25-9 and went on to the victory. Scoring was low for the Lady Bulldogs as Channing Buis led the team with seven points. Three players had five including Brinkley Hollin, Ily Bussell and Allie Jones. Two players dropped in four, Jacey Ferguson and Emily Buchanan. Rhea Ware, Gracie Eldridge and Genesis Bailey had two points each and Avalynn Cook along with Maci Short had one each. Greeneville was led by Kyla Jobe and Abby Adkins with 15, Maria Lyde had 13. Also scoring in double-figures was Anna Shaw with 11. The Nichole Goins, Heartland Real Estate Player of the Game went to Channing Buis. Coach Jeff Sorke saw some great things in her play.
In JV basketball, Claiborne won 33-28. Jacey Ferguson and Graci Cupp led the Lady Bulldogs with 10 each. Emily Buchanan had six, Hope Cole had five and Maci Short had two. Madison Carpenter led Greeneville with nine points.
