April 22- Claiborne High School hosted the Cherokee Lady Chiefs in softball and won,16-4 in five innings. Claiborne scored two runs in the first, one in the second and then all but ended the game in the third by scoring 10 runs. Cherokee plated four runs in the top of the fourth inning but the Lady Bulldogs added three more to activate the run rule. Allie Jones started in the circle and pitched well but late in the game Marley Sweet entered in relief. Together, the two pitchers limited Cherokee to four runs. Unofficially, Jacee Hall hit three triples and a single. Jacey Ferguson hit a single, two-RBI homerun and a two-RBI triple. Brinkley Hollin had an RBI, Allie Jones had three RBI, Kinley Mullins had a two-RBI single, Jaylen Pressnell had a one-run double, Maddie Ferguson had an RBI, Maci Short drew two base-on-balls and Kate Combs had an inside the park homerun to right field and a single.
