August 8- The volleyball season got underway at Springdale Elementary as Elk Vally brought its Lady Elks into the land of the Lady Owls. First up was a match between the junior varsity teams and it was the home team winning in two straight sets. The JV team members of Springdale include Presley Rose, Rylee Cope, Amelia Burkhart, Ella Buchanan, Bryce Shields, Averie Weaver, Bailey Gilbert, Adalyn Williams and Kylee Powell.
Next on the floor were the varsity teams and Springdale battled but lost a three-game match in the third and final set. The varsity team members include Sophia Agee, Brooklyn Greer, Camila Morgado, Olivia Martin, Kinsley Hayes, Sophia Martin, Maggie Cupp, Presley Rose, Rylee Cope, Amelia Burkhart, Olivia Rose and Ella Buchanan. 2024 is the first season where the Lady Owls were competing in district play.
