August 22- Claiborne High School played host to district foe Greeneville. The Lady Green Devils were all they were advertised to be. Claiborne fans watched Greeneville score six goals in the first half alone. They scored first at the 38′-54″ mark and their second goal at 33′-59′ with goal number three at 32′-18″ and then just seconds later at 32′-01″. The Lady Green Devils added two more, one with 19′-30″ and 10′-41″ left in the first half. Claiborne had actually found a defensive lineup that slowed down the Lady Green Devil attack and only allowed two more goals during the second half. Greeneville scored during the 28-minute mark and the 10-minute mark, taking home the victory with the final score of 8-0. On offense CHS had their opportunities with half a dozen near misses but they never found the net.
The Lester’s Fabrication Player of the Game was Lily Robinson for her hustle and communication on defense.
