Estep, Johnson and Smolinsky lead Lady Bulldogs to victory on the pitch.

September 3- Claiborne soccer welcomed Knox Central (Kentucky) to the campus of Claiborne High. With cooler temperatures greeting the players, The Lady Bulldogs and Lady Panthers kicked off and immediately the fans could tell that the CHS offense was going to have a good night. At the 35′-34″ mark in the first, Claiborne opened the scoring up with a goal by Izabelva Estep. Payton Johnson struck next with a goal seconds later. Knox Central got on the scoreboard with 33′-40″ showing on the first half clock. Sophia Morton countered that goal with Claiborne’s third. Estep shortly thereafter scored her second followed up by two from Maggie Smolinsky. Payton Johnson added another Claiborne goal with 22 seconds left in the first, giving the home team a 7-1 halftime advantage.

Only minutes into the second half, Estep scored her hat trick goal and Kailey Heinis added another on at the 34′-10″ mark. With 25′-09″ showing on the second half clock, Addison Poore scored goal number 10 for the Lady Bulldogs and ended the game with a final of 10-1. Defensively, Claiborne played very well allowing only the one goal and limiting the Lady Panther shots on goal.

The Lester’s Fabrication Player of the Game was Izabelva Estep with a hat trick (3 goals).
