October 9- Claiborne loaded the buses and traveled to Dobyns-Bennett (6A) for a non-district game against the 33rd ranked team in the State of Tennessee. It was 49 to 0 when Claiborne’s offense struck through the air. Kaden Lovin hit Kris Ford on the third play of the drive covering 63 yards. Ford made the catch, shrugged off his defender, and ran into the endzone for what was the only touchdown for the Bulldogs in the first half and the game. Aden Roark hit the extra point, and the score was 49-7; however, the Indians scored again before halftime, making the score, 63-7.
Neither team scored in the fast-moving third quarter, but the Indians scored with 3:30 left in the game to make the final score, 77-7.
Claiborne will return home next week for a homecoming game versus Unicoi, followed by the rivalry game against Cumberland Gap on the road.
