August 27- The Claiborne Middle School Bulldogs faced off against the Lake City Lakers at Claiborne High. The Bulldogs’ offense got off to a slow start in the first half, while their defense allowed only three scores all game long. After halftime, the coaches made adjustments that sparked the running game, spreading the Lakers’ defense with trips and forcing fewer players in the box. Claiborne scored twice in the second half but ran out of time and timeouts to complete the comeback. The Lakers sealed the win by taking a knee on the final play, finishing with the win, 16-12.
