Cumberland Gap hosted Washburn, November 29 and the night of games opened with a junior varsity boys contest. The Panthers won 55-38. Leading Cumberland Gap in scoring was Alex Douglas with 14, Gavin Owens had 12, Noah Yonts had 11, Kaleb Powers had eight, Hudson Harris and Andy Osborne has three, Ethan Powell along with Isaac Brown completed the total with two each. The Pirates were led by Jace Nicely and Riley Munsey both with 12.
Game two on the night belonged to the varsity girls’ teams and the Lady Panthers took a 46-24 victory in part due to Emery Glovers’ double-double effort including 15 points and 10 steals. Kylie Fultz had nine, Abbie Fultz had nine, Jaden Brock had five, Hayden Beeler had four and Brynlee Foster along with Gracie Nash had two points each. The Lady Pirates were led by Braelynn Coffey with eight points.
During the final game of the night, the Panthers tipped off against the Pirates in a varsity boys battle. Cumberland Gap won the game 55-30. Leading the Panthers in scoring was Lance Owens with 20 including five, three-pointers. Dylan Ellison dropped in 17, Kaleb Powers had five, Elijah Lawson dropped in four points, Gabriel Peterson along with Hyrum Hinkley had three, Gavin Owens and Trace Provins along with Andy Osborne all had one point. The Panthers led at the half, 26-18. Washburn was led in scoring by Rance Shipe with nine.
