Tazewell Speedway will open its season with the inaugural Jim Arnwine Memorial, March 26. Jim was a true fixture at Tazewell Speedway and his career netted him induction into the Tazewell Speedway Hall of Fame. Arnwine was a fan favorite and was once voted the best to ever race on the high banks in a poll conducted by the Claiborne Progress. Other memorial races include the Lil’ Bill Corum Memorial- April 16, Melvin Corum Memorial- May 29, Bill Ogle Memorial- August 13 and the Buddy Rogers Memorial- September 4.
