Livesay traveled to Hancock and played four games of basketball starting with the junior varsity girls game. The Lady Eagles were led by Allie Owens with 23 huge points on the way to a 45-7 win. Brinley Pendleton had eight, Peyton Owens had four as did Natalie Davis. Three other Lady Eagles recorded scores. K. Morris led Hancock in scoring with four.
20-11 was the final score of the junior varsity boys game with the Eagles getting the win. Eli Reed led Livesay in scoring with seven. Grayson Cook had six, Noah Fultz had three, Jacob Tinnel had two as did Koalton Cupp. The Indians were led by Zyler Riley with six points.
The first of two varsity games featured the girls. Hancock took a narrow victory at 29-26. Zoe Pyne and Addie Hill led the Lady Indians in scoring both with 11 points. Abby Peters led H.Y. in scoring with 11 points. Allie Owens had five, Amillya Smith had five, Sara Stamper had three and Kelly Hatfield had two. The Volunteer Golf Carts Player of the Game was Abby Peters with 11. Congratulations Abby!
The boys varsity game was a tight one as well. Hancock was able to get by the Eagles with a final score of 38-29. Isaiah Christian-Foder led all scorers with 18. Griffen Walden had six, Nason Delph had five, Eli Jones had five and Jacob Belcher had four. H.Y. Livesay was led by Preston Zachery with 10, Brady Harris had six, Koalton Cupp had six, Neil Bunch had five and Keaton Clawson had two. The Volunteer Golf Carts Player of the Game was Preston Zachery. Congratulations Preston!
