Claiborne and Grainger battled in a girls contest, January 10. The Lady Grizzlies won the game 62-36 in part to a fast start during the opening period. Grainger outscored Claiborne 22-8 but Claiborne rallied during the second period and outscored Grainger 13-12 but were still down at the half, 34-21. A 20-8 third period was all Grainger needed to cushion their lead and get the win at 62-36. Allie Jones led Claiborne with 12 points. Hannah Fugate had 10, Emma Myatt had five, Taylor Pressnell had four, Channing Buis had three and Jordan Fultz had two. Grainger was led in scoring by Adison Hayes with 17. Maddie Hurst had 15 and Gracie Evans had 11.
