October 5- Excitement was all around Cumberland Gap as the rivalry between Claiborne and Cumberland Gap took center stage in middle school football action. On paper, the Panthers had the edge and it translated on the gridiron as well. Cumberland Gap scored early and often in their throwback uniforms paying tribute to the Powell Valley Indians. By the end of the game, Cumberland Gap has secured a shutout win over their cross-county rival Claiborne by the final score of 34-0.
