Claiborne shutout by Gatlinburg-Pittman

October 6- Claiborne High School made the trip to Gatlinburg-Pittman for a district game of rain-soaked football. From the kickoff it was clear that this Highlanders team might be the best team the Bulldogs faced this season. The Highlanders scored six first half touchdowns and led the visiting Bulldogs 42-0. Claiborne could not find the endzone due to a great defensive effort by the home team. During the second half a running clock sped up the game. GP scored once more in the second half and took the victory at 49-0.
The Bulldogs return home October 13 to battle Unicoi. Kickoff at 7:30. -AE
