Cumberland Gap and Claiborne Middle Schools played baseball at LMU, April 22.
Cumberland Gap got behind in the first inning but came back and led 4-1 going into the fourth.
Claiborne had a big top of the fourth scoring seven runs to lead 8-4 but the Panthers added one in the bottom of the fourth to chip into the lead, 8-5.
The Bulldogs added two more runs in the top of the final inning giving them a comfortable lead at 10-5.
However, the Panthers weren’t quite finished as they generated six runs during their final at bat to secure the win at 11-10.
R.Posey had four RBI and Tate Murphy had multiple hits for the winning Panthers.
