Claiborne County hot shoe, Austin Neely, continued his 2021 season with another victory. Originally the team intended to race in the Topless Outlaws Series at Crossville but the event was a rain out.

However, the team wanted to race and gave Thunderhill Raceway in Summertown, Tennessee a try; however, it too was cancelled. They stopped at Mountain View because it was on the way home and a race on their Topless Outlaws Series schedule in a few weeks. The team expected to get some good notes for that upcoming race but instead found victory lane.

Neely spoke about his long weekend, “It was a very long weekend logistically. Because of rain, we turned around and headed back home but decided to go to Mountain View Raceway because it was pretty much on our way home. We have a series race there in a few weeks so we felt it would be a good chance to get some notes for that race.”

To the team’s credit the car was great there, “We unloaded and were fast all night long and it was a good night we took care of business. I do hate we weren’t able to let any of our fans or families know that’s where we would be racing because it was unexpected because of the weather. It was a long trip for the guys but they hung in there and gave me a car to compete with both nights. Our team is really gelling right now and we’ve got some good momentum and looking forward to the rest of the year.”
