Tazewell-New Tazewell, May 1- Austin Neely continues to improve as a dirt late model driver and the team as a whole is coming together rapidly. As a race winner, Tazewell Speedway was missing off his late model stat sheet until he took the checkers during last night’s Topless Outlaws Series feature race.

Neely took a minute to offer a comment to The Zone, “It was amazing and for it to be here at home in front of my family and friends made it so much sweeter. This is actually my first late model win at Tazewell. We haven’t raced there a ton since we started racing late models and we have been travelling around following a series. So it was bittersweet last night to be able to get our first win there to be one of that magnitude. My wife & son wasn’t able to be at our Topless Series win last year at Crossville so it was great for them to be there and for us to be able to share that moment. Our team has worked so hard and it really is starting to show, we’re excited for this upcoming year.”

A winning race driver needs great help and Austin wanted to give his help a strong shout out, “All of this wouldn’t be possible without our team: My Dad, Wife, Son, Robert, Mark, Dylan and Junior. We have been blessed with some great sponsors and without them we couldn’t do this: Reece Monument Company, Giles Industries, MRC Transportation, Inc., Five Star Properties Inc., Four Season’s Boat & RV Storage, Mary’s Home Furnishings, Tim Fletcher Heating & Cooling, Clayton Homes of Middlesboro, Oakwood Surplus Barn, Jeffers Exterminating, Thompson Insurance Group, DJ’s Performance Racing Engines, Rayceton Technologies by Weaver, Schaeffer’s Oil, X’s Power & Batteries and Team Fastlane Design & Graphics.”
