Cayden Brown got the scoring started for the Bulldogs off a corner kick in the first half. Devin Edds added another goal with the assist from Thomas Ruiz and that’s all the goals they needed to win the game 2-1.
Union County added a goal late in the second off a corner kick that deflected off Isaiah Broyles. Broyles was tested in the net 15 times and had the one mistake. He played well in the net despite having some injury issues.
CHS Athletic Director Craig Ivey had this to say about the win, “I am so happy for this team. They have been playing so well.”
