After a few attempt, Claiborne High School Lady Bulldog’s soccer played their season opener, August 24. Sickness delayed their start and they even had two starters out tonight but they played well against Union County winning 6-3
The start of the game was very hot but it cooled off during the second and the teams both played hard. Claiborne scored two first half goals and then did the most damage in the second half with four more. Taylor Pressnell led CHS with a hat trick (three goals) and two assists. Haley LeBert had one goal and two assists. Brooke Buchanan had two goals. Mollie Bolton and Mackenzie Walker both had one assist each. Yeary had three saves.
The Lady Bulldogs next game is Thursday, August 26 against Middlesboro, Kentucky at CHS.
