The Claiborne County fair wrapped up September 4 with a huge crowd watching the tractor and truck pull while others had their thrills on the midway.
Ron Seals and CC Fair Association members joined Watkins family members in a ceremony before the pull started to officially name the pulling track after the late Marvin Watson.
It was a long and trying week for the fair association with rain creating problems with the lawnmower pull and ATV drag racing but the weather improved and from Thursday on, the fair was magical once again for kids and adults of all ages.
Claiborne Claiborne Fair Association President Ron Seals would like to take a moment to thank all the many volunteers, vendors, concession workers, gate workers, sponsors and anyone that had a part in making the 2021 fair successful.
Seals would also like to give special thanks to visitors of the fair because without them it would be impossible to give out the Christmas food baskets and other charity that the fair association is involved with on a yearly basis. God bless and we’ll see you all next year.
