Soldier’s Memorial Middle School hosted Washburn, November 1.
During the JV boys game SMMS was behind quickly and never caught back up. Washburn won the game 28-4. SMMS was led in scoring by Eric Ferguson and Mason Helton both with a basket each. Bryson Clay led Washburn with 10 points.
During the varsity boys game it was a different story. The Blue Devils had a big second half and came away with the 35-33 victory. Leading SMMS in scoring was Kaden Lovin with 20. Aden Roark had nine, Kris Ford and Jaxson Mundy both dropped in three. Washburn was led by Dillon Mullins with 11 points.
