Lady Eagles win both games against Washburn

The H.Y. Livesay Lady Eagles played Washburn at home, November 23 and won both junior varsity and varsity games.

The first game was the JV teams and the Lady Pirates played well but fell at the end 16-11. Amillya Smith led the Lady Eagles with 12 points, Allie and Peyton Owens both had two points to complete the total. Washburn was led by Leah Collins with seven and Chloe Williams with four points.

During the varsity game, the Lady Eagles took a 22-10 halftime advantage and won the game 40-24. Livesay was led in scoring by Jenna Middleton with 12, Brinkley Hollin had 10, Jayla Bailey had five, Kelly Hatfield dropped in four, Jaelynn Jones had three, Jaylee Hayes along with Morgan Martin and Abby Peters all had two points. Washburn was led by Abigail Epperson with 10 and Ebony Hill with nine, Taylie Proffitt and Leah Collins both had two points and the total was completed by a single point from Hannah Williams.
