Special night at Powell Valley: Annual Pink Out Basketball Games

The Annual Pink Out Game was held November 11 at Powell Valley and once again it was H.Y. Livesay as the opponent. There were many special moments including special presentations and dance routines.

The first game on the schedule was the junior varsity girls game with the Lady Eagles winning 25-5. HY was led in scoring by Amillya Smith with 11 points. Peyton Owens had eight and Allie Owens finished the game with five. The Lady Indians were led by Cabella Duverney who scored all five.

The next game featured the JV boys. The Indians took the win, 13-8. Braden Lane scored six to lead the Indians, Korbin Goins had four and Kolby Weaver had three. Jacob Tinnel led the Eagles with four, Koalton Cupp added two as did Noah Fultz.

Next on the hardwood were the two varsity girls teams and the Lady Eagles won this one 42-10 after leading at the half 36-6. Leading the way for HY was Brinkley Hollin with 16, Jaylee Hayes added 10, Jayla Bailey added six, Jenna Middleton had four, Jaelynn Jones added three, Kelly Hatfield had two and Abby Peters had a single point. For the Indians, Zoey Nelson had another nice game with eight and Brandy Branscomb had one basket.

The final game of the night was the varsity boys and the Eagles won by 10 points at 38-28. The score at the half was 28-14. Johnny Wilder had another great night with 16 points. Brady Harris had nine, Kole Carter had eight and Jed Bailey put in five points. The Indians were led by Kolton Goins with an outstanding 19 points. Braden Lane had five and Braydon Boyd finished with three.
