The first game was the junior varsity Bulldogs versus the Chiefs. Claiborne was able to get the win by the final score of 57-48. Leading Claiborne in scoring was Evan Thomas with 16. Brady Hamlin had 12, CJ Cox had 11 points, Jake Smith finished with eight, Josh Bolton had six, Cole Holt had three and Hunter Greer finished with one point. Cherokee was led by L. Charles with 10 points.
The varsity Lady Bulldogs played next and they lost 54-50. Claiborne was led by Taylor Pressnell and Hannah Fugate both with 14. Allie Jones had seven points, Emma Myatt dropped in six, Jordan Fultz had four, Hailey Sexton had three and Carley Hall completed the total with two. The Lady Bulldogs were down 25-19 at the half. Cherokee was led by Macy McDavid with nine.
The final game of the night featured the Bulldogs versus Chiefs in the boy’s game. Claiborne won this one 57-47. Ethan Cupp led the Bulldogs with 17 points. Levi Peoples and Landen Wilson both had 10, Seth Morelock had nine, Zack Bailey finished with six and Tyler Myatt had five points to complete the total. Cherokee was led by Colin Ryan with 16 and Colton McLain with 11.
