Tyrell Miles breaks CHS triple jump record

Tyrell Miles broke the Claiborne High School record for the triple jump at the Volunteer High School track meet tonight, April 12, placing first with a 41’ 8.25”. Record was previously held by David Fuson in 2009 who jumped a 39’ 11.5”.

Coach Walker talked about the process, “Yeah Tyrell jumped a 39’ 11” first jump and was mad he didn’t hit the record and we just said go for it and do not think about. That’s when he popped the 41’ 8.25. He was pumped. He said 43 is his next goal.”

The 2022 CHS track team has already broken two school records with more seemingly possible.
