Cumberland Gap Middle opens season up with win over Jellico: Weaver and Pearman named Claiborne Health and Wellness Players of the Game

The Cumberland Gap Middle School Panthers defeated Jellico August 11 at Cumberland Gap High School to start the season off right. They shutout Jellico 22-0 after one half of play and gave up one touchdown during the third quarter. The Panthers went on to win 30-8.

Colby Weaver played well enough on offense to be named the Claiborne Health and Wellness Offensive Player of the Game and Jaden Pearman earned Defensive Player of the Game honors. Congratulations Colby and Jaden!
