Cumberland Gap basketball hosted the annual preseason basketball jamboree, November 10. The jamboree is on a four-year rotation featuring four area high schools with Washburn to host next year.
The jamboree is meant to showcase local basketball talent plus give the players a taste of game day activities to help prepare them for the 2022-23 season.
Teams participating in the jamboree were the boys and girls teams of Cumberland Gap, Claiborne, Grainger and Washburn, both junior varsity and varsity.
In the middle of the program there was a skills contest, and it was Grainger doing well in both the girls and boys three-point shooting contest. There were several great dunks during the slam dunk competition, but it was Claiborne’s Ethan Cupp taking the win.
Coach Ryan Whitaker and Cumberland Gap High School would like to thank everyone for participating in the 2022 jamboree.
