Jacob Tinnel had two points and five rebounds. Neil Bunch and Koalton Cupp both finished with two points.
The Dragons were led by Gavin Barton with eight, Gabriel Daniels had seven, Cameron Burchett had six and Gavin Surber had five points. The Volunteer Golf Carts Players of the Game were Brady Harris and Kole Carter.

Shawn Smith offered this statement, “Great team win. Our kids trusted the game plan we had in place, both offensively and defensively. I was concerned about the layoff following Thanksgiving break but we had a great practice Monday. That carried over to Tuesday. We had a strong showing on the glass and that allowed us to get out in run in transition. We were comfortable in that environment. Our schedule prepared us for games like last night. We’re battled tested entering December but we still have so much room to improve and some things to clean up. This group continues to lower their head and work. I’m proud of them but we can’t get comfortable. This is a marathon, not a sprint. Next up is a road district game at Hancock County Thursday. We know going into that environment will require us to be at our best. We’re excited for the challenge.”

The varsity girls game was also scheduled and it was Livesay’s Lady Eagles getting a 39-30 victory. Allie Owens led H.Y. in scoring with 11 points. Izzy Helton had eight plus was the homecoming queen. Kelly Hatfield had seven, Abby Peters had four, Sara Stamper also had four and Karlie Johnson along with Allie Fortner finished with two points. Emma Bussell led the Lady Dragons with 12 points. Macy England had six, Maybree Collingsworth had five and Brinley Pendleton had three. Rounding out the total was Briley Colinger with two.
The Volunteer Golf Carts Player of the Game was Allie Owens. Congratulations Allie!
