Cumberland Gap hosted the Grainger Grizzlies for four games of basketball action, December 2nd. The first game of the evening was for the JV Girls. Cumberland Gap jumped out to a 15-4 lead over Grainger during the first quarter of play. The Lady Panthers pushed their lead out to 23-10 as the teams went into the half. Cumberland Gap was led by Jayla Bailey with eight first half points and Brinkley Hollin with six. Grainger was led by Addison Brickey with six first half points.
The Lady Panthers carried a 29-17 lead after the third quarter and finished off Grainger with a final score of 36-17. Jayla Bailey finished with a game high 10 points for Cumberland Gap. Brinkley Hollin finished with six points. Ashlynn Roberts, Callie Hoskins and Hayden Beeler each scored four. Jenna Beth Wilburn and Emrey Glover each scored three and Gracie Nash rounded out the scoring with two points. The Lady Grizzlies were led by Ava Dellinger and Addison Brickey with six each. Kati Ann Dosset had three points and Jayla Hayes finished with two points.
The JV Boys were next on the floor and both teams came out firing but it was Grainger getting most of their shots to fall early leading to a 20-11 lead over Cumberland Gap after the first quarter. Grainger built that league even further and carried a 35-19 lead over the Gap into the locker rooms after the first half. Cumberland Gap was led by Kolton Goins in the first half with six points. Grainger was led by Konner Kincaid with 16 first half points, all of which he scored during the first quarter.
Grainger picked right back up where they left off in the first half and kept dropping baskets over The Gap and held a 56-29 lead after the third quarter and rolled on to a 70-32 victory. Cumberland Gap was led in scoring by Colton Jones with 12 points, Kolton Goins and Hudson Harris each with eight points, Jacob Surber with three points and Braden Boyd with one point. Grainger was led by Konner Kincaid with 20 points.
The Varsity Girls were next on the floor for the night. Things were close early as Grainger held a slight 7-5 lead over the Lady Panthers but then reeled off a seven point run to lead 14-5 with 3:00 left in the first quarter. Grainger hit another shot before Brinkley Hollin finally put an end to the Grizzlies run with a shot of her own. After another Grainger shot Jayla Bailey was able to knock down a pair of free throws for the Lady Panthers but that was the last of the scoring for them during the first quarter. The Lady Grizz led Cumberland Gap 19-9 after the first quarter.
The second quarter remained scoreless for both teams until Gracie Nash stepped to the line and hit one of two free throws at the 6:22 mark but Grainger answered with a corner three pointer. Scoring remained slow going for both teams but Hayden Beeler was able to get a clean look inside the paint that dropped to bring the Lady Panthers back within 10 points to 23-13 with just under two minutes remaining in the first half. Grainger hit another corner shot and then got a clean rebound that they turned into a fast break score to end the first half leading 28-13 over the Lady Panthers. Cumberland Gap was led in scoring by Gracie Nash with four first half points. Grainger was led by Adison Hayes with 14 points.
The teams both matched each other during the third quarter and Grainger held on to a 39-25 lead over the Lady Panthers as the quarter came to a close. Grainger was ultimately able to get out with a 54-43 victory over Cumberland Gap. The Panthers were led in scoring by Emrey Glover with 19 points of which 15 were scored in the fourth quarter. Gracie Nash scored eight, Jenna Middleton scored six, Kerry Dixon and Jayla Bailey scored three each and Brinkley Hollin and Hayden Beeler scored two each. Adison Hayes scored 23 for the Lady Grizzlies.

The Varsity Boys were the final teams to step onto the court for the night. Grainger nearly double up the home team during the first quarter of action and held a 15-8 lead over The Panthers going into the second quarter. Grainger kept up the stiff defense and their shots kept falling in the second quarter as well leading to a 32-10 score at the end of the first half.
Grainger kept up a smothering defense and their shots continued to fall during the third quarter leading them to a 53-16 lead over Cumberland Gap. Grainger walked off with a 58-20 victory over the Panthers. Cumberland Gap was led in scoring by Kaleb Powers with eight points, Isaac Brown with four points, Braden Ellison with three points, Ethan Powell and Hudson Harris with so each and Noah Yonts with one point. Grainger was led in scoring by Brizen Solomon with 13 points.
