Shawn Smith said this about his team, “Proud of our kids for their attention to detail leading up to the first game in this tournament. It’s a one game season at this point. You can’t look ahead. It was a team effort. We had a lot of kids play well and knock down shots. Most importantly, I loved our defensive effort early in the second half with a big lead. Next up we play a good Tellico Plains team that has experience in this tournament in recent years. We scrimmaged them in October, but you have to throw that result out at this point. Both teams are better now. It will be a fun one Wednesday night. We need Eagle Nation to travel to Harriman and back these kids. They deserve it.”
