Bulldogs’ baseball on fire, five game winning streak

The last few days have been great to the Claiborne Bulldogs who have won five straight. Claiborne played Maryville Christian and won 11-1 to start the streak. Ty Pryse was the pitcher on the mound, and he struck out 10. Pryse was The Sports Center Player of the Game.

The Bulldogs played South Greene and the Rebels felt the full bite of the Bulldogs. The final in this shutout game was 19-0. Derek Mase, Tyler Myatt and Ty Pryse all had triples. Pryse had four RBI. Joseph Houser hit a homerun and Mase was on the mound and struck out five. Mase, Myatt and Pryse were The Sports Center Players of the Game.

The Bulldogs faced Hampton on April 22, and with Myatt and Tyler Holt on the mound were able to win 19-4. Combined, the two pitchers had five K’s and gave up four hits. The Sports Center Player of the Game was Tyler Holt.

Cherokee was next. The Bulldogs won 12-5 with 10 hits, homeruns from Houser and Myatt. Myatt also had five RBI. Myatt and Pryse shared time on the mound and combined struck out five. Myatt started and Pryse came in relief. The Sports Center Player of the Game was Tyler Myatt.

The final game in the five-game streak was Cocke County. The Bulldogs came away with a 10-4 win. Myatt once again homered and had three RBI while Pryse and Houser were on the mound. Together they struck out seven. The Sports Center Player of the Game was Tyler Myatt.
