Union County baseball takes down Panthers, 15-5

April 4- Union County saw the ball well and had 14 hits propelling them to a 15-5 victory over the Panthers. The brightest spot for the Panthers during the contest was a Devin Byrd homerun during the fourth inning. Cumberland Gap had 11 hits but couldn’t get the timely hit to help them score more runs. Hudson Harris, Gibbs Cochran and Byrd had multiple hits, each having two. Andy Osborne had a tough game on the mound giving up 12 runs on 13 hits, striking out two over three and two-thirds innings. Cumberland Gap is improving and just needs to find a timely hit or two that allows them to plate more baserunners.

The Sports Center Player of the Game was Devin Byrd, congratulations Devin!
