Claiborne High School Athletic Director Andrew McGinnis offered this statement to The Zone, July 25, “Wanted to share that we have hired Jeff Sorke as the next girls’ basketball head coach.”
The Zone then reached out to Sorke for a comment, and he sent this, “This is a job I have wanted for a long time, and I’m thrilled to have it. We’re going to work really hard to be competitive and build the program into a winner again.”
When asked about his style of basketball he added, “We will play motion offense and multiple defenses.”
Sorke told The Zone that he would remain as coach of the Lady Bulldogs soccer team.
