September 15- Claiborne High School played host to the Cosby Eagles on a comfortable late summer evening. It was blackout night for the Bulldogs, and they came out on the field to warm up in their normal jerseys but when they went back in the locker room, they were presented black ones which the players were jacked to see and to put on. The Bulldogs were a different team tonight as they came out and were all business. Zay Gerrells had five touchdowns, three rushing and two passing. Cole Jones and Tyrell Miles both had receiving touchdowns, Aden Roark scored a touchdown. Jake Smith had a fumble recovery scoop and score on defense and Kaden Lovin scored the Bulldogs final TD of the night. Roark was great kicking the point after touchdowns and the defense was on fire and pitched a shutout. The Bulldogs won their second game in a row, this one by the final score of 52-0.
The Matt Compton, State Farm offensive Player of the Game was Zay Gerrells. Gerrells went seven for 11, 156 yards passing with two touchdowns. He added three touchdowns rushing, 13 carries for 84 yards.
