Upon completion of the Elevation & K.O.C. Invitational, The Zone had the privilege to present eight outstanding athletes awards for the all-tournament selections, Mr. Hustle and tournament most valuable player. We went into the tournament set on picking a team that could compete with everyone in the East Tennessee area and although hard, extremely hard, we accomplished that goal. The Zone could have picked a dozen of worthy candidates but these eight really stood out for their efforts on the court. All-Tournament selections went to Conner King from Hancock County, Toby Garrett from Scott County, Cameron Soulages from Seymour, Tyler Davis from Cosby, Ayden Lamons from West Greene, and Ethan Cupp from Claiborne. Jordan Day from Campbell County was named Mr. Hustle as he played the game quick and ran all over the court. Richard Bell was a dominant force anywhere around the hoop and defensively. Bell was our choice for Most Valuable Player for the tournament winning Northview Academy Cougars. Our duty was to pick an all-tournament team, not just players from the championship game. We were honored to be given this task and thank Claiborne High School for the hospitality all tournament long. – Allen Earl, Cody Long
